You must be Japanese

I work at a Japanese gift and futon shop. I have many customers that ask me if I'm Japanese and are disappointed when I tell them I'm only a quarter. Some of them say that I should be Japanese since it's a Japanese store. What's wrong with non-Japanese people working at a Japanese store?  There's a Korean restaurant by my college run by Mexicans, the popular Japanese restaurant by home has Korean waiters and Mexican sushi chefs, and the owner of this super yummy Italian restaurant is Middle-Eastern. So I smile nicely and point out to these customers that not all Italian restaurants are run by Italians.
